Iowa Mennonite is moving on to a district final for a third straight year as they downed Highland 14-5.

Iowa Mennonite got on the board right away as Noah Miller and Eli Ours started the game off with walks. A pair of hits by Blake Bontrager and Kobe Borntrager along with an RBI ground out by Jacob Boller gave Iowa Mennonite three early runs.

The Huskies went to the bullpen early after a pair of hit by pitches to start the second inning. The Huskies brought in Brady Hahn for Chase Schultz. Miller was his first batter faced and he reached on an infield single.

A nice play by Jacob Leonard led to a 5-2-3 double play, but Bontrager tallied his second hit of the night to drive in two runs and make the score 5-0.

Highland's first run came in the third as Brady Hahn scored on a Brody Burton sacrifice fly.

Down 7-1 in the fourth, Highland was able to load the bases with zero outs but only got one run out of it as Eli Ours was able to strike out a pair of batters to get out of the inning.

Two scored on a Noah Miller grounder to make it 11-2. He drove in the next two runs as well on a two RBI triple in the sixth to make it 13-5.

Iowa Mennonite added one more run in the sixth before Noah Miller came on to pitch the final inning. He gave up no runs in his one inning of work.

Iowa Mennonite will play the winner of Notre Dame and Pekin on Saturday. Highland bows out with a 13-11 record.
